Gibson T-Tops are known for their brighter, tighter, and more aggressive tone compared to the original late 50s Patent Applied For pickups. Artists such as Chuck Berry, B.B. King, Pete Townshend, Angus Young, Peter Frampton, Nancy Wilson, Randy Rhoads, Mick Ronson, Tommi Iommi, and many more are known to have used original Gibson T-Tops, helping to cement the T-Top as an iconic Gibson pickup.

The new Gibson Pickup Shop 1968 T-Top Reissue humbucker is faithful to the Gibson T-Tops produced from 1966 to 1979.
