HOW DOES IT WORK?
-
SELLING VS. TRADING
Selling your guitar to Dirk Witte means receiving a direct purchase offer based on condition, originality, age and market demand. Trading in is often more appealing: instead of cash, you can exchange your instrument for guitars or gear from our collection — frequently allowing you to move toward something of higher value than a straight sale would offer.
-
THE KIND OF GEAR
We are primarily interested in guitars from well-established, traditional brands such as Gibson, Fender, Gretsch and Martin, with a strong focus on vintage instruments and high-quality used gear. Affordable guitars from other brands can also be considered, provided they align with our assortment and quality standards. Condition, originality and overall character play an important role in our evaluation.
-
TRADE-IN VALUE
Both purchase and trade-in offers are below current market value. This reflects the work involved in inspecting, servicing and reselling instruments through our shop. Wear, modifications, repairs and technical issues will influence the final offer. Any indication based on photos or descriptions is always provisional — a definitive price can only be determined after we have inspected the instrument in person.
