Restring
Fresh strings play a crucial role in how a guitar feels and sounds. Old or worn strings can make a guitar harder to play, affect tuning stability and dull the tone. At Dirk Witte, we professionally re-string your guitar so it plays comfortably, sounds clear and responds the way it should. Re-stringing costs €25, excluding the price of the strings. We offer a wide selection of guitar strings for electric, acoustic and bass guitars, which you can explore on our website to find the set that best suits your playing style and instrument.
Full Set-Up
From time to time, every guitar needs a full set-up to perform at its best. Whether your instrument has been played extensively or has been standing idle for years, a full set-up ensures it is completely ready to play again. This service includes re-stringing (excluding string costs), oiling the fretboard, polishing the frets, adjusting the intonation and thoroughly checking the guitar’s overall condition and playability. A full set-up costs €75, or €95 for guitars equipped with a Floyd Rose tremolo system.
Modifications
At Dirk Witte, you can also have a wide range of guitar modifications carried out to better suit your needs and preferences. This includes replacing or upgrading tuners, pickups and electronics, as well as installing a pickup in an acoustic guitar. Each modification is unique and depends on the instrument and the work involved, so pricing varies per job.
